I cannot rate Castle Removals highly enough. They carried out our office move which involved disposing of vast quantities of junk as well as moving many pieces of furniture and boxes. Some of the items were hugely awkward and/or heavy but nothing was too much trouble for them and they accomplished all tasks with a smile. They were fast, friendly & efficient and all for a very competitive price. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone and will definitely be using them again myself.

From first contact with Castle Removals until the goods were delivered the service was impeccable. They turned up on time, took great care and were very helpful and considerate. I must write a review for this great service. From the initial enquiries to the completion of a house clearance PJ and his team were a pleasure to deal with. They dealt with everything so professionally and nothing was too much trouble. Very reasonable quote and also helped move an item of furniture to another location at no extra cost. On a hot sultry Friday morning at spot on 9.15am as agreed, a van and three willing chaps arrived and came up to my 4th floor flat. They promptly, efficiently and much more quickly than I had imagined, got out all the unwanted furniture and some other unwanted-by-me bits and pieces, followed just as quickly by loading up the things I did want to keep and which were being removed to my partners flat - my new home. And they got the removals part of the job sorted in hardly any time at all, kindly putting boxes in appropriate places/rooms. I was told most of the furniture was fine and would be going to British Heart Foundation which myself and my partner were very happy with. I hope I don't ever have to move again, but if I do, I will definitely call on Castle Removals Edinburgh again. Brilliant work all of you.

Perfect move all round. The removals guys were unbelievably quick, could not be more helpful, handled 2 flights of stairs at one end and 3 steep + narrow flights at the other, and all in great humour too! Also huge thanks to PJ for being patient when I couldn't confirm the booking due to completion delays, and for sorting it out over a weekend with only 6 days to go - terrific.

From the first phone call to a home visit for pricing to the actual removal, we couldn't have been provided with any better service. There was an extremely reasonable prompt quote directly to my non-online mother and boxes and packing materials delivered. Any time I rang, the phone was answered and my queries dealt with, including a last minute request for overnight storage because of a problem with getting carpets fitted.
The 3 amigos who did the actual flitting for my mother were courteous, kind and so very very helpful to her, despite no doubt being dismayed at the amount of junk (sorry necessities) she wanted to take. She is hard to please being used to the type of service which used to be provided pre- 1960 by retailers etc and she was absolutely delighted with every step of the process provided by Castle Removals.
I cannot praise them highly enough for taking some of the stress out of my day by being so professional.

We got our large furnitures moved from a first floor townhouse to a top floor flat. They did an amazing job, spot on and really friendly.

Would highly recommend Castle. They moved us from Edinburgh to Sunderland and were really flexible and so helpful, efficient and friendly.

We have used Castle Removals a number of times and on each occasion found them to be entirely reliable and professional. They arrived each time at the time agreed and each of the teams took great care to ensure no damage to our furniture or to our decor as they moved through the house. Let down by another removal company Castle Removals could do me within two hours! They came on time, three people, listened to my instructions ( what a delight) and put everything in to the new flat where I asked. From a 2nd floor to a 3rd floor they were also so quick! I’d like to put it on record that, having moved many times over the years, this was by far the best. Communication with the owner was first class. The crew was superb. Polite, respectful, friendly, efficient, and wholly professional in all respects. Even though there were some tricky moments, everything was done with good humour and I didn’t hear a single swear word for the duration! Nor a moan, nor a grumble either. It was a hot and sticky day, and not the most pleasant working environment in this heat up and down stairs all day long. However, they were an absolute credit to the firm. Brian & Don delivered a new and removed an old living room suite quickly and efficiently. Were prepared to re-attach the cushions etc. Placed the furniture where it was needed. I have never written any reviews, but I had to do it this time, as I needed to thank Castle Removals people. They were just amazing, I couldn't believe that such great service still exists, that all the team was patient and kind, and my last minute changes were accepted without any complaints. I would like to say a big thank you to Castle Clearance for clearing my mother's house and garage. They were very punctual - arriving before agreed time - along with being efficient, reliable and very fast as they finished within a couple of hours. It wasn't easy arranging this during lockdown but I have to say that communication was first class. They also delivered a piano to my sister's house which was included in the price. I certainly would have no hesitation in recommending them as they did a fantastic job.

Excellent removal service! We were on a tight budget and all quotes from competition were sky high. Stevie, Brian and Kyle from Castle removals came to our 2 bed second floor flat (with no lift) and moved everything safely and quickly into the van and off to West Lothian, quickly and safely unloaded. Everything on the day went smoothly and we couldn’t have asked for a better service. The price was fair and affordable and the service was excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to anyone moving. Duncan and the entire removal team were so professional and experienced and just worked so hard. They made us feel really relaxed on the day with lots of fun chat and they had a great sense of humour. We had a lot of boxes and I was so impressed how quick they emptied the house and how they stacked the van up, like a game of Tetris! They were careful with our stuff too. One of our large wardrobes wouldn't fit in our new house, sadly, but they offered to take it away for us too, which saved a lot of hassle. In our line work at Max we deal with artifacts which are both delicate in condition and have great meaning to the holders of these collections so to move them from one place to another can be very precarious. So finding the right company for the task is a great relief . Which is exactly what we have found with Castle from the moment the van arrives on time to the way the staffs experience in handling the boxes/crates the courteous and professional manner in which they work your mind is put at rest . The Castle Team called ahead, arrived when they said they would with all the necessary piano moving equipment, covers and PPE. Within an hour they had installed the piano at my daughter's house in Joppa. I would highly recommend.

Castle Removals did a great clearance job in a third floor flat for me - even removing a fitted kitchen, appliances and carpets. They were able to complete the job at very short notice and also arranged for a deep clean to be done the following day, which was a huge help! I paid for my mother in-law to get a clearance done in her flat as the council refused to move it. The gentlemen that came out were lovely and very polite!
Steven also moved me to fife from Edinburgh and he handled all my belongings with care! Again he too was very well mannered and did a great job! I will definitely recommend this company to all my friends and family if they ever need a clearance or removal!

After I got let down on the day the move was arranged for due to a hold up with the funds we had to rearrange. P.J was most understanding and helped me find somewhere to store my things and moved them as soon as we got the go ahead.

I used Castle Removals to empty my father's house after he had passed away. The boys did a great job -turning up promptly, working quickly and were friendly and well mannered. There was more there than expected and they took this in their stride and dealt with it without complaint and professionally, managing to fit the extra work into their busy schedule.

I was delighted with the very fast response. I was emptying my mother’s house and had an entry date from the purchaser that I thought was in achievable, however the chaps were able to come the next day, arrived early and move the lot very quickly.

Castle moved an entire household three floors down and then two up, and that was with a piano. Very efficient, PJ the boss kept us updated beforehand, the guys worked hard and had us out speedily, even though I had drastically underestimated the number of boxes. We bought a mighty heavy old walnut wardrobe from a private vendor on the third floor of an Edinburgh tenement. When I saw that Castle move pianos, I thought that they would probably manage an antique wardrobe, albeit I couldn't push it along the floor myself. However, I was not sure that moving a single piece of furniture would be an appealing job for a professional removal company. I need not have worried - I was treated with the same courtesy as though I was offering Castle a big lucrative job. I rang on a Saturday, and the wardrobe was in its new home (ours!) on the Monday. This seems to be a family firm who pride themselves on doing a first-rate job at a very competitive price. Wholeheartedly recommended.

Nothing was a hassle for them they provided a very high quality service from packing and dismantling furniture to unpacking and building everything back up.

I went with Castle Removals for the refurbishment of a central Edinburgh flat and would highly recommend them. I had a tight but shifting timescale involving clearance of furniture and then delivery of replacement furniture and they were flexible, helpful to a degree not found so often these days and able to work at short notice. They were always polite but also easy to work with. I will definitely go first to them for any future moves.
